Would you like to be part of a hard-working and welcoming school team, but need more flexibility during term time? This could be the role for you!

We are looking for supply teaching assistants to join our school to work flexibly across term time. Our school’s vision is “Success Through Wellbeing”, and we strongly believe that the wellbeing of our staff is vital to support the wellbeing of our pupils. As well as this, consistency and familiar faces are very important to our children.

Therefore, we are seeking to hire supply teaching assistants in order to provide flexibility to concentrate on other commitments when needed, take holidays during term time or give short notice of availability. Having a selection of known Chiltern Wood supply teaching assistants will provide a familiar face to the children, as well as ensure our supply staff are appropriately trained and have the right experience to support our pupils.

Chiltern Wood School is a 3-19 special needs school catering for children with complex needs including sensory processing needs and autism spectrum disorder. We pride ourselves on building positive relationships with our pupils, their families and supporting professionals to enable communication, physical, social and emotional development for each individual. We have extensive facilities on site to support this development and provide learning opportunities through a variety of experiences, lessons and routines.

If you are interested in learning how to contribute purposefully to the educational and social development of children and young people and you feel you have the qualities to successfully attend to their welfare and emotional needs, we want to hear from you!

Previous experience is not essential as full training will be provided.

Chiltern Wood School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of its pupils and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be subject to full vetting checks, including a disclosure of criminal records at an enhanced level, online searches and satisfactory references

Applications: Please send a completed non-teaching application form to hr@chilternwood.bucks.sch.uk

(Please note, we cannot accept CVs. A BUCKS non-teaching application form must be completed via My New Term)

It is very important to us that we hear directly from candidates via their personal statements. Please tell us about your personal and professional experience, as well as your hobbies and passions in your own words. AI-generated statements repeat the same stock phrases and are largely the same across multiple candidates. We look forward to hearing from you.
